– I chose to study internationally, because I was looking for a new adventure, a new place to explore,
new cultures to learn, new people to meet. Coming here all by myself
has been amazing for me. My name is Kritty Ghosh, I’m from India, presently I’m studying at the Blue Mountains International
Hotel Management School, doing a Bachelor of Business in International Hotel
and Resort Management, and I’m working as a casual Food and Beverage Attendant with Fairmont. – Fairmont Resort and
Spa is a part of Accor and MGallery chain by Sofitel. Blue Mountains is one
of the highlight regions in New South Wales, so we fit
in the profile of serenity, which reflects our offering at the hotel. International students diversify the nationality of the group,
which really creates that home away from home for our guests. – Working with different
people from different cultures enhances us as individuals. I get to learn from different people, the way they react to the guests’ needs. – Kritty is a placement student from the Blue Mountains Hotel School,
she does really well, she’s willing to learn, and
that confidence she has, that’s a good thing in hospitality. – My dream is to travel around
and at the same time earn, so five years from now I see myself working in a cruise liner. Working here will get me
the experience that I need. – I’d recommend international students visit regional New South Wales, because there are other
opportunities there that are not seen in CBD. Hunter Valley has wineries, Blue Mountains is world heritage, and other
areas in New South Wales they offer a memorable destination. – My favourite things
to do in my off time, going around here seeing
the scenic beauties, like the Cahill’s Lookout points. For the people who are wondering if they should come
and study in Australia, I would say it’ll be
worth taking the risk.
