Hello and welcome here to the Design Center,
where I have the great pleasure of introducing the new Zafira to you. I always like to think
that there’s a hard core group of customers who really love the Zafira.
They love its stylish looks, they love its practicality and its three rows of seats.
We wanted to build upon that. And most importantly, we wanted to integrate the new Zafira front
into the family of other Opel vehicles. We have a very stylish, wide looking front with
these high-tech headlamps, giving the car a level of sophistication like never before. Also, the rest of the car has this wonderful flowing shape – a real level of sophistication.
And that sophistication continues on the inside, as will tell you Karim Giordimaina, the Director of Interior Design. Thanks a lot, Mark. I’m standing here in
our virtual reality studio, located in the heart of our Design Center in Russelsheim.
This state-of-the-art facility helps connect us with 11 other Design Centers across General
Motors, making us a truly global design team. Using virtual reality and some of the best
digital tools in the industry, we developed the interior of this latest Zafira. The instrument
panel is now simpler, more elegant, reduced. We wanted to shift your focus from this area
up here down to this – the center stack. We started by absolutely reducing the amount
of buttons to a minimum, then we integrated our award winning IntelliLink system, and
the latest generation of steering wheel and cluster to complete the interior. And that
was just a very quick view at the interior of the new Zafira, the latest addition to
our exciting portfolio.
