THE SCHOOLS TWEETED THIS PICTURE SAYING KINDERGARTNERS PLANTED SEEDS GEARING UP FOR THE FALL. KELLER ISD IS LEADING A PUSH TO SHAKE THINGS UP A LITTLE BIT. STUDENTS ARE DRIVING THE CHANGES. JOEL THOMAS EXPLAINS.REPORTER: IT IS A QUESTION THE COMPANY RUNNING KELLER ISD’S CAFETERIA ASKED TO STUDENTS. THE BACK HELP TO SHAPE OUR CAFETERIAS OPERATE IN THE 500 SCHOOL DISTRICTS NATIONWIDE. WE DIG AT THE BACK FROM SOME OF OUR STUDENTS. THEY WANTED A GRID OLD BURGERS THAT WE HAVE. WE ALSO HAVE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES WHERE THEY ARE ABLE TO SELECT SOME OF THE FAVORITE CHOICES THAT THEY WANT. REPORTER: MUCH OF THE FOOD IS NOW MADE IN-HOUSE AND HEALTHIER AND MARKETED IN THE CAFETERIA CALLED THE CLUBHOUSE. THERE ARE BRIGHT SIGNS ON THE WALL, EVEN THE FOOD IS ARRANGED TO BE COLORFUL. I LIKE THAT IT IS REALLY GOOD AND HEALTHY. WHEN I GO UP THERE I CAN JUST TELL THAT THEY ARE HEALTHY BY THE LOOK OF IT. KIDS ARE STARTING TO PICK UP ON THINGS LIKE THAT, ESPECIALLY AT THIS AGE. REPORTER: THAT THOSE SERVERS ARE FINDING MORE KIDS LEAVING THE LUNCHBOX AT HOME. I WOULD RATHER EAT AT THE CLUBHOUSE BECAUSE THEIR FOOD IS BETTER SOMETIMES. REPORTER: THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK THE COMPANY FINDS THE PEOPLE IT IS FEEDING ARE MUCH MORE SATISFIED.
