Today we’re going to make moisturizing lotion bars with cocoa and vanilla to nourish all skin types. For this recipe, we’re going to need 1 oz of cocoa butter, 1 oz of beeswax pastilles, 1oz of almond oil the oil of one capsule of vitamin E, and 30 drops of vanilla in jojoba oil. Cocoa butter has a high percentage of fatty acids and antioxidants. It seeps through numerous layers of skin making it one of the most effective remedies for dry skin. Beeswax has antibacterial properties and it attracts water, so when it comes in contact with the skin, it attracts water molecules, helping to keep the skin hydrated over time. Almond oil is rich in vitamin E and seals moisture into the skin helping to keep the skin soft and supple. Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that our skin needs it’s a great skin healer, and it also helps skin care products last longer. And vanilla will not be found as 100% pure essential oil but it is very soothing and helps nourish dry skin. So using the double boiler method, you want to melt the cocoa butter and the beeswax over low heat. This will take about ten minutes When the butter and the wax are almost completely melted, add the almond oil and stir the mixture until everything is melted. Then you want to take it off the heat and add the oil of one capsule of vitamin E and 30 drops of the vanilla oil make sure to stir everything very well, and before the mixture starts to solidify pour about half an inch of the preparation into silicon molds. Then you want to let the lotion bar solidify completely for about three hours. And now you can pop them out and they’re ready to use. Rub them on your skin for an amazingly healthy and delicious moisturizing experience.
