Hey friends, you guys are always asking me
for easy, healthy snack ideas, so today I am sharing my clean, eating granola bars.
These bars are vegan, gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free if you want. These
babies only use six basic ingredients, thumbs up for less ingredients, and are completely
customizable to your flavor preferences. So once you have this base recipe, you can take
it and pretty much run with it however you want. This recipe is also available in the

is here or in the description box below. And let’s get to it. In a pot over medium heat you are going to
start with two bananas mashed. Then you will add your peanut butter or nut butter of choice
and mix until well combined and heated through about two minutes. In a separate mixing bowl
combine your main granola ingredients, I have rolled oats. Be sure to use certified gluten
free if you are looking for a true gluten free product. Chopped mixed nuts, I used walnuts,
pecans and almonds. Seeds today I used chia and some flour. Dried fruit, I used raisins
and craisins and optional is a little bit of coconut sugar or a sweetener of your choice.
But if you are using super ripe bananas, which you should be, they should be sweet enough
on their own and you shouldn’t need any sweetener at all. Mix to combine. Comment below, I want to know what your favorite
granola ingredients are. Now it is time to incorporate the dry mixture into the wet,
again mixing until well combined, yum. Line a cake pan with parchment paper, today I used
a nine by nine pan and fill it with your granola mixture. Flatten it out nicely and bake at
350 degrees Fahrenheit for 18 to 22 minutes. Allow to cool completely before easily pulling
out the block using the parchment paper and cutting into bars as you like. So those are my lovely vegan granola bars
or in this case, squares. They will store in the fridge for up to a week and you could
always freeze them. The PDF download here or in the description

remember when it comes to nutrition and health, that calories aren’t everything. Yes, calories
do matter, we don’t want to over consume because if we end up eating more calories
than we need we will gain weight. But I always try to encourage people to focus on the ingredients
that they are consuming rather than the calories. Think of food as fuel, so when you are making
a treat, if you have the opportunity to use ingredients that your body will appreciate,
it’s going to be much better than consuming something that is much more processed even
if that more processed item is a little bit lower in calories. Alright guys thanks for watching, I will see
