THE OTHER OFFICER AND THE HOME DEPOT WORKER IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL. THE SUSPECT IS IN THE DALLAS COUNTY JAIL. 29-YEAR-OLD ARMANDO JUAREZ IS BEING HELD WITH A BOND OVER A MILLION DOLLARS. THE CRIME SPREE STARTED AT THE HOME DEPOT JUST AFTER 4:00 YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. TWO POLICE OFFICERS AND A CIVILIAN WHO WORKED AT THE HOME DEPOT WERE SHOT. THE OFFICERS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS CRYSTAL ALMEIDA AND ROGELIO SANTANDER. SANTANDER WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD. WE WANT TO GO TO YONA GAVINO. SHE IS AT TEXAS PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL. THERE HAS BEEN A STEADY STREAM OF LOVED ONES WAITING FOR ANY GOOD NEWS ON THE CONDITION BUT VERY SAD NEWS TO REPORT THAT ONE OF THOSE OFFICERS, ROGELIO SANTANDER HAS DIED FROM HIS INJURIES. THIS ALL STARTED YESTERDAY AT THE HOME DEPOT NEAR CENTRAL AND FOREST LANE. POLICE WERE CALLED ABOUT A SHOPLIFTER, IDENTIFIED AS ARMANDO JUAREZ. THE 29-YEAR-OLD PULLED OUT A GUN AND SHOT THE LOSS PREVENTION OFFICER AND THE TWO OFFICERS IDENTIFIED AS CRYSTAL ALMEIDA AND ROGELIO SANTANDER. BOTH ARE THREE-YEAR VETERANS ASSIGNED TO THE NORTHEAST DIVISION. FROM THE AIR AND GROUND THERE WAS AN INTENSE MANHUNT. ABOUT FIVE HOURS LATER, FINALLY A BREAK IN THE CASE.
