Hi everyone! I’m Amy! Today I’m making cinnamon sugar pinwheels. This recipe uses butter, cinnamon sugar and pie crust to make a delicious, sweet treat. So let’s get started! Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and take a small baking sheet and line it with parchment paper and then set it aside. In a small bowl, add 1/3 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Stir this together until it’s well combined and then set it aside. For this recipe you will need one pie crust. You can use either an unbaked, store-bought or homemade pie crust. Sprinkle some flour on your surface and on the pie crust and roll it out into a rectangular shape, being sure not to roll it out too thin. Then brush on 2 tablespoons of butter, melted. Next, sprinkle on your cinnamon sugar mixture. Now roll up the pie crust. Now cut the roll into 1 inch slices. Now place them onto your prepared baking sheet and try to make sure they stay in a circular shape. Now bake them in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Then remove them from the oven and let the pinwheels cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. And here they are… cinnamon sugar pinwheels. This is a great way to use up any leftover pie crust. For this recipe and many more check out my website at amylynnskitchen.com.
