A FORMER CAFETERIA MANAGER IS ACCUSED OF STEALING MONEY FROM THE SCHOOL WHERE SHE WORKED IN SULLIVAN COUNTY. THAT’S ACCORDING AN INVESTIGATION BY THE TENNESSEE COMPTROLLER. THE SAY WHILE DEBORAH BECKMAN WAS THE CAFETERIA MANAGER AT KETRON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LAST SEPTEMBER SHE STOLE 758 DOLLARS. THAT MONEY WAS MEANT TO PURCHASE ICE CREAM FOR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS. INVESTIGATORS SAY BECKMAN ALSO ADMITTED SHE STOLE CASH FROM THE CAFETERIA FUNDS FROM DAILY DEPOSITS. A GRAND JURY INDICTED BECKMAN ON SEVERAL COUNTS OF FORGERY…. THEFT… AND TAMPERING WITH GOVERNMENT RECORDS.
